To start enjoying MTN 4G LTE services you will have to get an MTN 4G SIM Card that is compatible with 4G LTE called the U-SIM. you can check your current SIM Card if it supports MTN 4G by sending 4G to 131 as a text message or you walk into the nearest MTN office for a SIM Swap which is totally free.
MTN 4G Compatible 4G LTE Phones
You should also note that MTN 4G network is only available on 4G LTE enables devices, so if your mobile phone or device doesn’t support 4G LTE you will not be able to enjoy MTN 4G network on them.
MTN 4G network runs on the following frequencies and band:
800MHz (BAND 20) and 2600MHz (BAND 7)
