For quick and easy unlocking download MEP Reader below to calculate your MEP ID

[alert type=”red”]Although unlocking your phone is 100% legal in the UK and other regions. standards and laws may apply differently elsewhere in the world like in the US. It will be your responsibility to comply with all local laws and standards for unlocking your device.[/alert]

Its is easier and more accurate to calculate your unlock code using the IMEI and MEP though i will always try to get you your unlock code using IMEI and PRD since its the easiest to get the PRD than the MEP. If i ask you to provide your MEP code because i am not able to get your unlock code via PRD then download MEP Reader + Blackberry Driver HERE just connect your blackberry to a PC via a USB Cable and run the MEP reader, your IMEI and MEP will be displayed. make sure to run the Blackberry driver too

Read here for full instructions on how to Enter Unlock Codes for all Blackberry Devices

First thing to notice is you have just 10 trial attempts so if you have typed in a wrong unlock code 10 times you will have no attempt left leaving your blackberry hardlocked and can not be unlocked using code any more, you might need to visit a store. • There are several unlock codes MEP1-MEP5 but we are only concern with the network unlock code, but some devices are service provider locked, to find out if your device needs a MEP4 (service provider code) or MEP2(network unlock code) Goto Options on the Blackberry menu –>Advance Management or options–>SIM CARD then type MEPD (mind you nothing will be displayed while typing MEPD) after that several things will be displayed, if you have service provider active or enabled then you should use the MEP4 but if its network that is active or enabled then the MEP2 will work. • Lastly reconfirm the IMEI and PRD/MEP you provided if they are correct.

We have added Blackberry unlocking for instant unlock code calculation at http://huaweiunlockcalculator.com use and report bugs as it is still under test

PLEASE share this page with your friends on Facebook, Twitter etc. and help with donations to keep service active, Thanks

Note: A SIM card is sometimes required to unlock the phone. The SIM card can be inactive.
    Turn off the phone
    Turn on the phone
Go to Settings, Click on Manage Connections, Select ‘Turn All Connections Off’
Click the Back Arrow Button (Next to the Red End Call button) and select Advanced Options and then SIM Card
Hit the Settings Button (Button that has dots next to green call button) and select ‘Show Keyboard’
Type in “mepd” (please note that you will not see what you type on the screen). With some blackberrys you may have to type mepd in capital letters (HOLD CAPS and type mepd). A new menu should drop down. If your phone is locked you will see “Active” or “Enabled” beside “Network”. If it states “Inactive” or “Disabled” then your phone is already unlocked!
Type in “mep2” and another screen will pop-up prompting for the MEP (MEP2) code (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen). Note: On the right hand side of the prompt you will see “X left”, where X is the number of tries you have left to enter the code. NEVER let this number go below 4. Once you get to 0 your phone will be hard-locked and will be permanently locked to the current carrier. Contact us if you have less than 4 tries.

Exception: If nothing is prompting please make sure you are selecting each button by press the screen in.
Enter the 8 or 16 digit unlock code and then press enter to confirm (only enter the unlock code once!). You should get a “code accepted” message. Your phone is now unlocked!

Exception: If phone says “code error” and the attempts stay the same (you start off with 10 attempts and still says 10 attempts after you enter the code) then continue with the instructions, this is just a glitch on the phone and your phone may still be unlocked.

**If you get a “code error” please see the first question in our Questions and Answers section.**
Go to Settings, Click on Manage Connections, Select ‘Turn All Connections On’
After the phone is unlocked, remove the battery while the phone is on, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Use these instructions when you want to connect to GSM carriers.

You must first have your phone fully unlocked.
    1. In the device options, click Mobile Network or Manage Connections.
    2. Perform one of the following actions:
    * To connect to CDMA networks only, set the Network Technology field to 1XEV.
    * To connect to either a GSM or CDMA network, set the Network Technology field to Global.
    * To connect to GSM networks only, set the Network Technology field to GSM/UMTS. Set the Network Mode field (it is recommended that you set the Network Mode field to 3G & 2G).
    3. Press the Menu key.
    4. Click Save.

Please note: If you plan on using your Blackberry with another carrier/network, please make sure your phone is compatible with the carrier/network you wish to transfer to. Please call the carrier or visit their website to find this information.

If you have issues with the phone not recognizing the network, make sure the radio is on and make sure it is not low on power.
