Recently on my dual SIM Moto G running on android 5.0.2 Lollipop, I was having network problems, I could not make it stay on 3G network even though on the settings I selected 3G I kept getting 2G/EDGE.

How to forcefully select 3G/H/H+ network on Moto G android Phone
- On the phone settings (settings>more>cellular networks>preferred network type) select 3G.
- Now dial *#*#4636#*#* a window will pop up on the screen
- Select Phone Information
- Look for GSM auto (PRL) and on it select WCDMA only.
This little step will get your phone to stay permanently on 3G network.
